Our Editorial Process
Every piece of content goes through a rigorous multi-step editorial process designed to ensure accuracy, fairness, and usefulness for IT professionals at every career stage.
Research
Our team researches each certification program by analyzing official exam objectives, studying pass rates from multiple sources, reviewing salary surveys from PayScale, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn, and consulting with IT hiring managers and career coaches.
Testing
When possible, our editors personally take certification exams and document the experience. For programs we haven't taken ourselves, we interview recent certificate holders and aggregate feedback from professional communities like Reddit, TechExams, and LinkedIn groups.
Rating Methodology
We evaluate each certification across five key dimensions:
- Value for Money — Is the pricing fair relative to career ROI?
- Content Quality — Does the certification cover relevant, in-demand skills?
- Industry Recognition — How widely accepted is this certification by employers?
- Preparation Resources — Are quality study materials available?
- Overall Recommendation — Would we recommend it to a colleague?
Each dimension is scored on a 1-10 scale with a weighted average for the overall rating.
Staying Current
Certification programs change frequently. We review and update every article at least quarterly, with immediate updates when exam objectives change, pricing shifts, or new certification tracks launch.
